A Very "Boring" Engineering Challenge
The annual Not-a-Boring Competition is a competition aimed at college student groups where the objective is to dig a tunnel as fast as possible. Building a tunnel boring machine is challenging and rewarding, and is a great way to apply what you might be learning in the classroom to a real-world problem.
This competition is used as a prime recruiting event where many engineers and operations team members have come from the competition in prior years. It's a great way to get your foot in the door here, and the process of getting sponsors and funding your teams puts you in touch with countless more engineering companies.
